i have to ask - were you happy with the season premier of VM?

I thought it was a little stilted and slow to start, but am trying to attribute that to the need to introduce all the new characters... However I was impressed that they are making her all vixenish with all that hair!

I guess if you have Logan in bed on a regular basis all sorts of hormones kick in...

Also... I wanted to mention that there is a really good article about old growth redwoods in this week's New Yorker.

...and I want to mention that your Grampa Carl and his Auntie drove through a Redwood tree on their trip to the San Francisco Worlds Fair-- long ago, when he was just a boy. Maybe it was the same tree? I think Grandma Lois has a picture.
This is such a great road trip. I'm loving it, and it's free, and I'm getting plenty of rest!!!
XOXOXO,
Mummy

I think your Grampa Carl and his auntie went through a Redwood (in a car) in 1939 as part of a trip they took to the San Francisco Worlds Fair. Did you feel any special connnection? I think Grandma Lois has a picture.
This trip is really making me happy. I get a road trip without any cost or worries, and lots of laughs!!!
XOXO,
Mummy
PS The keys got here yesterday. Thank you.

Things I identify with in your blog....which by the way is highly distracting from the work I should be doing, but very entertaining.

Shitty bath towels at hotels. The Best Western in Prosser has a charge of $9 for lost/stolen bath towels. What happens is they disinegrate after use?

Picture of the ocean. Good thing you have that picture because you are gonna miss it out there in the middle of nowhere. I know, you are coming back, but it's gotta be one of the downsides, right?

Good coffee in a small town? Ya right. Again I'll refer to Prosser. There was an espresso stand, right next to the stop and pray...yes, stop and pray. The coffee did the trick which was to wake us up as we headed out of town after a long weekend of some yummy wine tasting.

Grease is the word. You're the one that I want, you are the one I want...ooh, ooh, ooh, honey.

Ice cream for lunch....oh I miss that. Remember our McDonalds ice cream runs?

So many things I want to hear more about. I'll stay tuned as the Griswolds head for Wally World. Have you run across the ball of twine yet?

Back to work. It's not like it's a half day or anything like that!

I recognize those sashimi plates. Yes, they belong to Grandehos. I don't know if I need shoplifting to spice things up, seeing that bowl of sashimi, and knowing how far away that bowl is, seems criminal enough.

In Oxford you can only get sushi once a week, and it's bad, and only two kinds, and people line up outside, all through the winter to get it.

IT'S LIKE COMMUNIST RUSSIA! COMPLETELY! EXACTLY!
