This is Joseph Ladd Marsh - the most scrumptious, adorable baby I have ever seen in my whole life!He is over 9 POUNDS! He was born at 7:05 AM yesterday. Doesn't he look awfully mature for a one-day-old baby?
It is all I can do to stop myself from kissing my computer screen and trying to sniff it to see if it has any residual fresh baby smell.

Oh! He is sweety pumpkin boy! I am going to call him Joe Ladd! He looks hilarious here, yes, definitely older than your typical one-day old, and so thoughtful, like he's thinking "Hmm... deep thoughts, deep thoughts..."

OK...I actually like Joe Ladd...just not Joe by itself. We are coming to realize that there will be nicknames...the one that seems to be sticking is JOSEY. Not as in "...and the Pussycats", but as in "The Outlaw Josey Wales"...you know, tough, like Clint Eastwood.
I'll have to update my own blog to tell the story of how we came to the name Joseph.
